Is Stephen Curry planting the seeds for a Golden State departure? 

🔸 Started a LeBromance at the Olympics.

🔸 Deleted any mention of the Warriors from his IG bio and dropped a collab post with LeBron on the same day.

🔸 Said that while he would ideally stay with the Warriors, "things change quickly." 

🔸 Hinted in a separate interview that leaving GS could be possible because he'd have a "hard time" being a "bottom feeder."

I appreciate that this article tries to sketch out some options. I don't think any of the eight teams would even consider these trades though. Nobody wants to be paying a 39-year-old Steph Curry $62m after strip-mining their team of draft assets. Too many teams in the #NBA have overpaid their old guys and it's going to drag them all into the abyss competitively.

imo GSW is not trading Steph. Unless he asks for a trade, never happening. Steph minted billions of dollars for that organization. The Chase center doesn't happen if he's not on that team. Paul Pierce was an excellent player but you don't think of his name first when you think Celtics, he's pretty far down that list. Steph is #1 by a long shot. Not even close to a comparison. It's more akin to trading LeBron or Tim Duncan

A blowout loss to the Celtics should have the Warriors considering the path Boston took to become the powerhouse it is today.
