The Knicks are cooking something, and the league should be worried. New York controls 11 first-round draft picks over the next 7 years. They also have a bevy of promising young talent and an All-NBA player who can match salary. The perfect ingredients for a blockbuster trade. But while New York is hungry for a star who can make them contenders, the front office has been wise to wait for the most delicious deal. Dame is finally craving a championship enough to leave Portland. The Giannis situation in Milwaukee isn’t as sweet as we think. If Dallas starves Luka of another playoff run, his patience may run out. And we all know Zion is still hungry for bigger things in New Orleans. But another superstar may soon be on the menu. James Harden just demanded his 3rd trade in 3 years, but the Sixers are struggling to cook up a good deal in a lukewarm market for the 34-year-old who just struggled in the playoffs again. And any superstar they do trade for will likely require Tyrese Maxey in the deal. Philly could end up giving up more than they get back for Harden, which could trigger a monumental moment for Joel Embiid. If the roster doesn’t significantly improve after yet another 2nd round exit, then it may be time for Embiid to demand a trade. The Process will officially be dead if Embiid dips, and the Knicks have the chips to go all-in for the MVP and chase championships…🤷🏽‍♂️
